City of Glasgow College connects with major telecoms firm Exchange Communications

A MAJOR telecoms firm has launched its partnership with the City of Glasgow College by offering three students high quality work placements.

Exchange Communications – which has offices in Glasgow, Aberdeen and London – sponsors the college’s Computer Networking programme at SCQF level 7 and 8, providing unique industry insights for students through on-site work experience, guest speaker slots, and the donation of equipment.

Mike McGregor, Aidan Cheung, and Xander Parle are the first students selected to receive hands-on industry experience, starting today.

Exchange Communications’ managing director Tom Sime said: “Students can tap into our decades of telecommunications experience across the world. With this exciting new relationship we are uniting industry and education. It’s a win-win for all involved.”
